Instrumental Music Program

​Footscray City Primary School offers instruction in a variety of musical instruments. All instrumental and vocal teachers have tertiary music and/or education qualifications and many also maintain professional performing careers in addition to their teaching work. Students are offered many performance opportunities within school and occasionally at outside venues. Students are encouraged to participate in appropriate school ensembles on their teachers’ recommendation.  Currently weekly rehearsals are held for String Ensemble on Friday morning.
 
Lesson Cost: Individual lessons range from $40-$46 per half hour and group lessons range from $26-$30 per half hour. If you are interested in enrolling your child please complete the form below and press Submit. For more information please email: [email protected].

Participation in the Instrumental Music Program incurs a $20 administration fee.
 
Please note: This is not an enrolment form. On receipt of this form your child will be placed on a waiting list for their preferences. Either Emma Rudin or the appropriate instrumental/vocal teacher will contact you to confirm choices and availability.   
School instrument hire is available for some instruments. We can also provide advice on hire/purchase of instruments outside of school. Most lessons are individual, although shared/group lessons may be offered when there is an appropriate complement of students. Every effort will be made to offer your child their first preference however depending on lesson availability, age and size of child and available instruments we may contact you to discuss further.
